About Me
Howdy Ya’ll, my name is Arlo Gilbert and I grew up in Austin, TX the son of a rather famous psychology professor and a mother who is a computer programmer.
I am a proud high school drop out who has attended both Harvard and the University of Texas at Austin, my studies focused on Political Science.
I am married to a wonderful woman and have two beautiful daughters.
While I have no formal business training, I have been fortunate in building and running online startups for almost 10 years now.
My current pet project is iCall (a popular Voice over IP startup). In the past I have founded and sold a large online media company, a medium sized blogging platform, and also started one of the largest desktop advertising networks.
Currently my interests are my VoIP startup, domain names and my domain name monetization company, my family, watching with amusement as “web 2.0” creates a new bubble, and flying single engine airplanes.
I guess you could say I have always been “flying by the seat of my pants” and thank G-d I haven’t crashed!
